What I Love About Kibosho:
- The Supportive Environment: On my first day, I struggled with making my bed properly. Instead of scolding me, my dorm mates and house mother patiently showed me how. By week two, I was helping new students too!
- Learning Through Experience: In Food Technology class, our first baking attempt failed spectacularly – we accidentally made rock-hard biscuits! But our teacher turned it into a fun lesson about measurement and density.
- Unexpected Discoveries: I never thought I’d enjoy Drama until we acted out the water cycle (I played an overenthusiastic raindrop). Now it’s my favorite co-curricular activity!
To New Students:
“Don’t worry if things feel strange at first. The teachers and senior students here truly care. Just last week, when my trunk lock broke, three prefects came to help me fix it. You’ll find your place faster than you think!”
Neema’s Kibosho Survival Tips:
- Bring an open mind – you’ll discover talents you never knew you had
- Pack extra socks (mornings on the mountain are chilly!)
- Keep a journal – you’ll want to remember every moment
“The best part? At Kibosho, every mistake is just a chance to learn and laugh together.”
